Proposal for EVE · 9 Oct 2026

EVE · Live events and local guide · Phuket

Make EVE feel like a night out.

One team designs and builds all 61 pages and 45 modals and sheets of EVE, in two months, for a fixed $85,000.

We drew a concept that answers the problem in your brief. The screens beside this text are ours, in light and dark. It plays by itself, or tap Feed, Event or Explore, or scroll inside it. This is a quick draft, not our final output. The finished design comes after we start, with your input.

What we would change first

Your brief names the problem. Here is where we start.

Generic cards, templated layouts, no personality. These five changes are the first things we would do, shown on the concept we drew.

Feed

Let the posters lead

EVE's real content is event art and venue photography. We give it the full width of the screen and drop the card chrome around it, so each event looks like itself and not like a row in a template.

The feed concept: a full-width event poster with a ticket-stub date and a Starts in 40 min marker
Feed

Organise the day by time

People open EVE to find out what is on. Live now, tonight and this weekend become the structure of the feed, with a ticket-stub date and a live marker you can read at a glance.

Event detail

Design for one thumb

The things you do sit at the bottom: I'm going, follow, directions. The top of the screen is for looking. A strip of upcoming dates handles events that repeat every week.

Explore

One place for search, map and filters

The map keeps a list underneath it, and the filter sheet tells you what you will get before you tap: Show 24 events.

The explore concept: a map with live pins and a list of tonight's events in a sheet below
Venue profile

Give venues a stage

A business profile opens on what is on this week, with a calendar strip and a clear Follow, so venues have a reason to keep it fresh.

The look we would bring

Photography carries the screen. The interface stays quiet around it.

  • Colour

EVE blue, #0C73FD, is used like a light. It marks what you can act on and nothing else. Around it, ink and paper with a slight blue lean.

  • Type

A confident grotesque for headlines and a plain, readable sans for details. Thai and English are set together from the first screen.

  • Light and dark

Designed as a pair, not inverted. Flip the switch at the top of the page and every screen in the phone follows.

  • Motion

Sheets settle, live pins pulse, nothing bounces for the sake of it. Every motion gets a spec and a 60fps budget on mid-range Android.

Plan and price

Five fixed-price milestones, with design and build running side by side.

Paid on Upwork as each milestone is approved. Finished screens go to development from 23 November, so the build never waits for the last design.

DesignBuild and releaseBuilds go to both stores on 21 Dec

  • M1

    Audit and three concepts

A written audit of the live app with screenshots. Two to three concepts for Feed, Event detail and Explore, each in light and dark. You choose one at the review on 13 November.

    $12,750Nov 2 to 13
  • M2

    Design system

The Figma system for the chosen concept: light and dark themes, every component state, motion specs. The same tokens and base components are built into your React Native codebase through a reviewed pull request.

    $17,000Nov 16 to 27
  • M3

    Every screen designed

High-fidelity designs for all 61 pages and 45 modals and sheets, plus a clickable prototype. Finished screens go to development in weekly batches.

    $17,000Nov 23 to Dec 11
  • M4

    Every screen built

Each screen implemented in your codebase through reviewed pull requests, with a fresh test build on TestFlight and Play internal testing every week.

    $25,500Nov 30 to Dec 18
  • M5

    Polish and release

Regression testing, 60fps checks on mid-range Android, a WCAG 2.1 AA pass, and App Store and Google Play builds submitted by 21 December.
